Why GenPDF

Crop PDF with GenPDF: what is different

Exact, edge by edge

Each of the four edges has its own measure in millimetres, the same on every page you choose, so a set of pages comes out even.

Nothing lost

Cropping hides the margins without deleting anything, so text and pictures keep their quality.

Spreads and paper sizes

Split in half cuts a scanned two-page spread into single pages, and Resize pages fits pages to A4 or Letter.

Questions

Crop PDF: questions and answers

Is the cropped part deleted?

No, it is hidden: every reader shows the cropped page, but what was in the margin is still in the file. To remove something for good, use Redact.

Can I crop only some pages?

Yes. Choose all pages, the current page, or a list such as 2-5, 8.

Can I cut a scanned two-page spread in two?

Yes, with Split in half: each chosen page becomes two, left page first, or right page first for Arabic and Hebrew books.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Pages are cropped in your browser. A scanned page is sent as an image only if you agree to have its words read, and deleted as soon as they are read.
