Why GenPDF

Extract PDF pages with GenPDF: what is different

Pages, ranges and “to the end”

Type single pages and ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 8, or 10- for page 10 to the last. Odd and even pages work too.

In the order of the document

The pages come out in the order they have in the original, however you typed them, and the original PDF is not changed.

Extracted on your device

The new PDF is made in your browser, so a long document does not wait on a transfer.

Questions

Extract PDF pages: questions and answers

How do I save some pages as a new PDF?

Type their numbers in Extract pages, such as 1-3, 8: you download a new PDF with only those pages, in their original order, and your file stays as it was. To get every page as its own file, use Split PDF.

What is the difference between extracting and splitting?

Extract pages makes one new PDF with the pages you choose. Split pages cuts a PDF into several files: every page, page ranges, or parts of a given size.

Will the extracted pages look the same?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, with their text, fonts and pictures.

Can I extract pages from a scanned PDF?

Yes. A scan is made of pictures, so its pages are copied whole. Reading its words is a separate step and happens only if you agree.

Is my PDF uploaded to extract pages?

No. The pages are copied in your browser and the new PDF is made on your device.
