Why GenPDF

PNG to PDF with GenPDF: what is different

Screenshots stay sharp

Each PNG is placed as it is, not squeezed again, so text in a screenshot stays crisp and transparent parts stay clear over the white page.

Wide screenshots, nothing cut

A wide screenshot is scaled to the page's width and centred, so nothing is cut off; a tall one is scaled to its height.

Notes on top

Highlight, draw arrows or add text on the screenshots in the editor before you send the PDF.

Questions

PNG to PDF: questions and answers

Can I mix PNG and JPG in one PDF?

Yes. Choose them together; each becomes its own page, in the order you picked them.

Do screenshots stay sharp in the PDF?

Yes. A PNG is placed as it is, not compressed again, so text and lines in a screenshot stay crisp, and transparent parts show the white page. Each picture gets its own A4 page. For photos, see JPG to PDF.

Will the PDF be heavy?

PNG files are lossless, so the PDF is about as big as the images together. Use Compress afterwards to make it lighter.

Are my images uploaded?

No: the PDF is built from your PNGs in your browser, and nothing is sent to make it. A page's image is sent only if you later ask to read its words and agree.
