How it works

How to rotate a PDF

  1. 01

Choose your PDF. It opens in the editor, in your browser.

  2. 02

Turn a page from its thumbnail, or use Rotate: clockwise, counter-clockwise or 180°, on the pages you choose.

  3. 03

Download the PDF: it opens the right way up everywhere.

Why GenPDF

Rotate PDF with GenPDF: what is different

Only the pages you choose

Rotate all pages, the current one, a list such as 1-3, 5, or only the odd or even pages.

No loss of quality

The page is turned, not redrawn, so text stays sharp and selectable and pictures stay as they were.

Straighten slanted scans

For a scan that is a little crooked, Deskew measures the slant from its lines of text and turns the page back by it.

Questions

Rotate PDF: questions and answers

Will the rotation be saved?

Yes. The new orientation is saved in the PDF, so it opens the right way up in every reader and prints that way.

Can I rotate a single page?

Yes. Turn it from its thumbnail in the Pages panel, or choose Current page in Rotate.

My scan is slightly tilted. Can I fix it?

Yes. Deskew straightens pages slanted by up to 8 degrees. The scan is not redrawn, so it gets no blurrier.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Pages are turned in your browser. A scanned page is sent as an image only if you agree to have its words read, and deleted as soon as they are read.
